Emma Freitas, PT, DPT

Originally from Rhode Island, Emma was born and raised a New Englander until she relocated to Charleston. Emma graduated from Endicott College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. After graduating in 2021, she continued her education at the University of Vermont to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in January 2024. Post-graduation, she found her new home in the Lowcountry.

Emma learned the importance of an active lifestyle from a young age. She grew up as a soccer player and would spend free time hiking and biking. Having previously been injured in sport, Emma was introduced into outpatient orthopedics in high school, leading to a career in the physical therapy field. Through her time at UVM, she gained vast experience in various patient populations to assist in motivating people to pursue their own active lifestyle while managing their pain. Now, she strives to help people with their own musculoskeletal injuries reach their goals, whether that be return to sport, work, or daily activities in the home.

In her free time, she enjoys staying active by playing soccer, running, going to the gym, biking, and hiking. Along with activity, she enjoys to relax at the beach, explore new sites, and try new restaurants and food trucks.
