Tyler Starkweather, DPT, Clinical Director

Tyler relocated to the Lowcountry in 2015 from Green Bay, Wisconsin to join the Atlas Physical Therapy team. He received both a Bachelors of Exercise Science and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Tyler enjoyed participating in sports throughout his childhood and into college. His personal athletic-related injuries sparked an affinity for the outpatient orthopedic setting. He works as the clinic director in Summerville and enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal pathologies with functional dry needling, joint manipulation and corrective exercise prescription. His favorite part about being a physical therapist is the wholehearted relationships made with each patient treated.

Outside of the clinic, Tyler enjoys spending time exploring the Lowcountry. You can catch him participating in athletics, trying new restaurants and breweries, returning to Wisconsin for Green Bay Packer football games, and staying active in the community with his wife Megan, daughter Hadley, and their dog, Ollie.

Kiara Rossman, PTA

Kiara is originally from North West Pennsylvania, in the small town of Smethport. She relocated to Charleston in February 2023, when her husband in the Air Force was stationed here. Kiara received her Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences – Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2021 from Pennsylvania College of Technology located in Williamsport, PA, also known for the Little League World Series.

Kiara enjoyed participating in all sports and extracurriculars in high school, lending her to a few injuries of her own that led her to follow a path into the physical therapy world. When she relocated to the Charleston area, she tore her ACL causing her to require an ACL reconstruction surgery that landed her at Atlas as a patient herself! The rest worked itself out.

In her free time, Kiara enjoys reading and watching psychological thrillers, listening to podcasts, going to the gym with her husband, and being a dog mom to Selphie, who she regularly takes on adventures to dog parks and out in the community!
